Capital Press Weekly Reading Activity

Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom

Capital Press is proud to partner with Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom to provide teachers a weekly Capital Press Reading Activity. Oregon Ag in the Classroom sends out a newsletter each Friday with a discussion guide about a story in that week's issue of the Capital Press to promote better understanding of the Ag industry in our state.

NIE & Kid Scoop

Kid Scoop

The mission of Kid Scoop is to enable children to express their basic desire to know about, and become active participants in their local community.

Kid Scoop enlists the active use of newspapers like those in the EO Media Group family in the classroom to accomplish its mission. The program features an in-paper section for and by children, as well as a unique team approach that involves newspapers, schools, and community supporters.

This team approach provides children with the powerful message that their community is committed to helping each of them become an informed and involved citizen.
